Thank you for stealing from me

Wed Nov 4, 2009, 10:22 PM
So, one cool thing about having the internet is the networking you are able to do,

the other cool thing is that everyone can steal from you...

man that sucks! Im sorry that happens! I hate that aspect about the internet... I hope matters get resolved in your favor soon.

Well, if you read from the comments, you can see things worked out - but it'd just be nice if people were a little more professional you know?
:iconbernouilli:
oops, sorry for not reading the comments, Im about to go to bed and am very drowsy. I just wanted to express my condolences before I signed off. yeah, I agree 100 percent with you. Art theft and whatnot is what basically keeps me from posting any of my really personal stuff on here.
:icondeoxmuseum:
Yea, but in the end I think that it is worth it - I'm getting my stuff out in the world by posting it EVERYWHERE.
:iconbernouilli:
thats a good plan! Im personally trying really hard to break thru in this community... lol there has to be a quicker way then talking to people, but I guess it works. good luck with getting your stuff out! its really nice, Im sure you will have sucess.
:icondeoxmuseum:
The internet is pretty much my only networking tool - although I do have some leverage from a program/art studio I worked with.

Just explore, and don't be afraid to put yourself out there.
:iconbernouilli:
where did you work at, if you dont mind me asking?

yeah, thats good advice. I suppose I get a little shy sometimes, when I ask people to look at my stuff and they are rude about saying no. but you're right, you gotta keep trying.
:icondeoxmuseum:
Well, criticism is all good (as long as it's criticism and not just attacking), but if you let the people come to you - and you find the people who actually want to look at your work, it works out better. Not as easy as going up to other people, but it's more effective.

what a jackass... clearly lied about giving you credit too considering his first response about you saving him time. I bet you he was required to make something himself, not "find stuff from the internet". This worries me a lot but I don't want to watermark my stuff since it ruins the whole composition and point of showing the art imo.

I know! I have watermarked stuff on my myspace art profile, and I don't like it...

I suppose all I can do is just trust that what he's saying is right, and that he's not really stealing it...
